NEW ALBUM COMING SOON!
I am really psyched to announce that my next album, Today And Tomorrow, a double-CD, is in the works!!
I have been working for a few months now on the album, which I hope to release by the Fall of this year. It will be my most ambitious yet, and will include a double-CD (one studio, one live, recorded mostly in New York at Bluestockings Books), a full lyrics/liner notes booklet which will be getting translated into many languages for release in various places, artwork to include posters, and an interactive web-release that is still being developed.

NEWS AND UPDATES | NEW SONGS & WRITINGS |
I have posted a few new songs up at the Riot-Folk website, including a song about the uprising in Wisonsin in February and March (which was sort of inspired by my time here in Barcelona, Spain where a similar movement arose in May), a song called Today and Tomorrow that was inspired by both the book The Subversion of Politics by Georgy Kastiaficas and my time spent in Berlin recently, and a song called The Farmer and the Dishwasher that I wrote after taking a bus up the west coast of the U.S. and thinking about the wide expanses of poverty that make possible the bubbles of wealth there, but also about human ability to find love, community, and hope even in situations that require great struggle. There’s also a video up on YouTube of me and Chelsea Carnes from the band Dirty Fist! playing this song live recently in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Go check em out! Update from Europe!
YOU CAN NOW ORDER MY NEW CD THROUGH ODONIAN RECORDS, A PROJECT I AM HELPING LAUNCH. Orders will not be mailed out until early October, when I return home from Europe.
Hey everyone! I have just finished 3 awesome shows in Poland and am about to perform in a social center here in Orlova, Czech Republic. Been having a wonderful time here in Europe, learning so much history and stories of current struggles, meeting amazing people, playing some really energetic and crowded shows, and getting a lot of my new CDs out!
Took a late-night bike tour of the Warsaw Ghetto area including the only remaining stand of the wall, and paid my respects to those who rose up there against the Nazis. Also got a nice tour of the areas just east of the Berlin Wall, where thousands of squatters took up a major fight for housing after the fall of the wall. Got a nice history of the squatting battles and saw some of the amazing current projects. Also got to hear about the reaction to the squatting ban in the Netherlands, visited the amazing students and allies who have been holding down the Free Heatherington occupation at the University of Glasgow for 7 months, helped support and met anti-fascist activists in London facing prison terms for fighting racism in the streets, and hung out with some of the rad folks who have been attempting to blockage Shell in northeast Ireland (Rossport) in defense of that community’s land.
All in all, this is great! See my TOUR section for full details of my upcoming shows in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, the UK, and Ireland!
FOR ALL OF YOU WHO PRE-ORDERED A RECORD: I had to delay the pressing of my record because I did not have enough money in the end. About 300 dollars worth of donations never came through due to folks not having the money anymore when it was time to charge their cards, and due to a few hidden fees I hadn’t calculated correctly when planning the release. Hopefully within a week I will begin the process, as I will have enough to pay the initial deposit by then (I hope).
